What we collect

Account details (username, email, hashed password, date of birth for age verification, US state), profile/bio, listings, bids, Buy Now/order/payment-status records with our processors, ratings, messages/feedback you send, and basic technical logs. We never need full card numbers on this demo; processors handle real payment data.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace (accounts, auctions, checkout, shipping contact, ratings), enforce 18+/US-only and our terms, prevent fraud/abuse, record fees/commission, and meet legal/tax obligations.

What is public

Username, US state only (never your exact address publicly), bio, listings, and star ratings/reviews are public as described at signup. Email, DOB and payout details are not shown publicly.

Sharing

We share the minimum needed with the other party to a transaction (e.g. contact/shipping coordination), payment/hosting providers, and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information in this demo.

Choices & retention

Edit profile/bio in your account; contact us via Feedback for access/deletion requests (some records must be retained for legal/tax/fraud reasons). Data may be deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

Security & age

Passwords are hashed; no system is perfectly secure. This is an 18+ service — we do not knowingly collect data from minors and will delete such accounts.
